      :: Playtest Feedback Playtest Feedback I played T1 & T2 competitively. My primary roles are LD and HO I know the game is early early early. So this is early feedback. :) The Good The game has a good Tribes feel Needs Improvement Heavies are a bit too fast Mediums are much too fast Lights are too fragile Penalty for having gen down is that no one on your team should be able to change loadouts Turrets are not deadly enough. It should be very hard to cap on the current maps with the gens up The lack of an e-pack choice is a problem. I get that basically everyone now has an e-pack, but I think that choice was important I don't like the way healing works. There should be a heal pack. You should be able to pick up other's heal packs they don't use, but no having one out of the gate is I think why lights seem too fragile to me Momentum is too easy to gain and too hard to lose. Skiing should have more skill involved particularly in a heavy. Fusion mortars are not nearly deadly enough Chain spins up too slow and not accurate enough I will definitely play more. This is just off the top of my head. I need to branch out and test some of the "new" stuff and playstyles. This is mostly as a vanilla Tribes experience.       :: This patch is a MASSIVE step in the right direction This patch is a MASSIVE step in the right direction Reduced flag return timer Made it harder to hit mid-airs/chain (still relatively easy, but we'll take it) Removed BXT Buffed light (more ski control + nitrons + sniper + smaller hitbox + lower cool down on packs) Fixed 90% of crashing / anticheat issues and added rejoining matches Fixed issues if flag falling through terrain 90% The only questionable move in this patch was moving the flag capout to 3. This feels way to low. There are still some issues with a weapon/class balance. But on the whole, I have nothing but positive vibes.       :: Jan. 4th Path: Bad… Jan. 4th Path: Bad... I'm not hating, it's an alpha, there are going to be patches which are not great. But this was not great. Movement is so overwhelmingly restricted. Everyone just moves in straight lines which make midairs as easy as ground pounding. Heavies are so so strong, while remaining fast. I genuinely have a hard time discerning whether I'm playing as a heavy or medium, with the latter basically being the former but with less health and weaker guns. Guns that should have a sharp drop, don't. Bolt launchers and the gladiator basically just go straight forward, I should not be getting sniped from across the map midair by bolt launchers. Zero inheritance for all spinfusors without damage being lowered? This just basically turns spinfusors into instant lasers, if your crosshairs are on someone when you shoot, and they aren't a crazy distance away, they get hit direct on. I have found the original guitar piece that is played by the original guy who made it. Now I am having trouble finding the orchestral piece that plays in the same town. I know its an actual song somewhere, just don't know what it is or who made it. Can somebody please tell me any info on it and how to find it? These are the final 7 hours of the PlayT2 Discord server, as seen from the perspective of DemoBot-Mia. To all the players - most of you are featured in this video - you've kept Tribes 2 alive. Without players, Tribes 2 is just memories. I hope Tribes 2 has another decade in it. ChocoTaco hosted the best Tribes 2 server, created many maps, tweaked gameplay and persevered for six and a half years (2,374~ days) despite Tribes 2's unique, ah, gamers. DarkTiger created and updated numerous modifications, including the TorqueScript side of statistics. My favourites will always be the April Fools cactus deployable and your machinima videos. BattleLore created stats.playt2.com and it's infrastructure (with Exogen's & DT's help). Behind the scenes, I think Krash contributed improvements. Thank you for all you have done, everyone. We have all appreciated it in our own ways. Sadly, I didn't improve the spectator camera, so the CTF matches are a little repetitive. If you happened to record any demo files from your perspective, please send me a copy. I'm __loop__ on Discord. The spectator cam follows the last flag carrier or the flag. During LakRabbit, this is fun to watch. During CTF, it's boring - you don't see generators being destroyed, deployables being placed or entities being repaired. You mostly see the skiing skills of whoever last grabbed the flag. I'm often sleeping during CTF hours, so I didn't fix the camera in time... my bad. This was streamed in 1080p, but I encoded a 1440p version so YouTube would preserve the quality.
