(Note, Broadside will not mirror Shifter, but take key points, gameplay, balance, weapons, etc into consideration as we build broadside, along with other games we find inspiration in!) If you guys wanna come play some T1 with some of the Broadside Dev team this weekend, We are up and running! I'll be online tonight at **6PM CST** Get the Tribes 1 Enhanced Client here - https://shifterv1g.com/beta/Shifter_Tribes_Client.zip Since the masterlist isn't allowing us to add to it quite yet *(I sent an email to the people hosting the master list to fix this.) * use the following command to join the server! (use ` to get to console, tilde, or grave, then paste this in there.) **Connect("codename.servegame.com:28001");** The server is capped at 64 players, I'm going to be advertising this around to various discords as well so we can top out some of the player base and have a great time! **Some notes:** Be sure to go look at controls, as some can be wonky by default, make sure its to your liking! If you haven't played Shifter before, remember, different items have special options. to access this, use TAB in game to see those options and modify some things! Inheritance I know there's been a couple of other threads about it, but what is everyone finding the most effective regarding inheritance per weapon? I'm aiming for a Tribes: Ascend feel, as that's what I played the most, Tribes-wise. I'm originally a Quake player. I've tried 0/0, and 100/100, and both feel super wonky. So I played one. Then it told me "Play 1 match to unlock this mode." The anticipation was building. So I played another match. Then it told me the mode was locked. :P How come? Is it not hitscan like back in the day? Exactly the title. I'm new and back in Tribes 1 and 2 days I used the sniper rifle a lot. I was good too, even though you had to still lead your targets based on ping. Man, when I first got cable internet hitting 40 ping and all my friends were still on dial up hitting 300 at best... Those were the days. But I'm curious... I've noticed the sniper is no longer hit scan. Is it really slow? or is it fast? How much do I really need to lead targets that are on the other side of the map? I can't seem to get the hang of it AT ALL. Like no matter how much I do or don't lead targets that far away, I am missing every shot and I can not for the life of me figure out how to use this damn weapon properly.
