Does anyone remember back in the day there was a Tribes: Vengeance montage on, I think, YouTube, which started with Bambino Casino's version of Moloko's "The Time Is Now". I remember it started with a guy either shooting a grenade or disc while flying very high, and the song's first drop occured upon impact, with a slight screen flash. It was so cool.       :: First time playing t2 in 20 years First time playing t2 in 20 years What a blast from the past i used to be obsessed with this game and TWL way back in the day. Boy do i suck now 😂 any recommendations for control setup?. I dont remember right click being jet it feels awkward but maybe thats how i played back then i reallt cant remember. Also cant seem to get my thumb buttons on my mouse to be detected in game either.       :: Tribes and population Tribes and population Hello. I wanted to get into the tribes series cuz it looks absolutely amazing. I've joined a t1 discord server and then a t2 one and then ive noticed that most of the playerbase is from usa, which for me means that the only option to play is to get up at 3am and play with 150 ping :( Are there any tribes communities or games with a much bigger EU playerbase? I'm working on an automated LAN party software that allows a VM, or hardware server to host locally ran dedicated servers, and downloads to clients at events for quick and easy access to old games. We've had tribes 1.3 on there for awhile, but the current community patches don't seem to like LAN play. Looking to either go to Tribes 2 - TribesNext, or possibly ReVengeance. Whatever has the easier setup for dedicated servers on windows. The question to figure out which we should use would be which has better LAN support, holds more people, and that I could pull statistics for online /offline / player count / map information for our server status intranet page. Open beta up May 22 9am PT It's not Tribes, but it has jetpacks, sliding, momentum building, many gamemodes, map builder and some Arena shooter elements. Many Tribes players tried the 1st one and kinda liked it, despit its relativelly kick death. It could be a breath of fresh air for Tribes orphans like us. For how long ?       :: TribesToBlender – DTS importer for Blender TribesToBlender - DTS importer for Blender We're going ahead and releasing a .DTS importer for Blender on GitHub. https://github.com/tekrog/TribesToBlender Import Starsiege: Tribes models into Blender 3.0+ Currently, only .DTS files are supported for import, these are the static and animated meshes used by Tribes. Supported Features The following model features are supported: Animations Static meshes Collision meshes Debris meshes Hulk meshes Levels of Detail (LODs)(Each level will have a number after the name of the root mesh) Textures If the texture files are in the same directory as the .dts file, they will be automatically imported and applied to the model IFL sequences (animated materials) This does not include animated UVs (this is how the Plasma Gun animates the cartridge when fired) Armors with bones Some of the animations slide, this is most likely a keyframing issue Vehicles Known Issues Below are the currently known issues: Sub-animations do not work (flames on the vehicles) Some of the armor animations slide, an additional keyframe most likely needs to be inserted before transitioning between animations Not all of the vertex animations work properly (Sensor Jammer) Animated UVs are not supported. Importing multiple models at the same time can break the hierarchy and overlap the timeline markers. Don't import more than one model at a time into a scene.
