      :: Tribes 3: Oceanic Discord – Pug Announcement Tribes 3: Oceanic Discord - Pug Announcement For tomorrow's playtest, the T3 Oceanic Discord has reached its 100+ player goal where we're now able to start pugs for those interested! These will happen from 7pm-12am AEDT through every play test. This is a community for Oceanic players, and pugs are merely a side of it. There’s no expectations here over activity or skill. Your interest in the Oceanic community to have fun is good enough. If you are new to this game or community, there's a help channel dedicated for any questions, tutorials and tips! We've implemented the pug bot used by the T3 Comp server for our region, so now the whole process can be automated. This accounts for people's skill and determines the fairest teams to have!       :: Starting up PuG’s in AU for T3 Starting up PuG's in AU for T3 We are interested in starting up some PuG's (7v7) now we have AU servers, from the next playtest onwards. Everyone welcome, including new players (yes, we will teach you and it's not that difficult). Times will be 1. anytime there are 14 in queue, 2. evenings from 6pm, 3. anytime on the weekends, while the playtest is online and going forward from release at this stage. Link is https://discord.gg/D8wm3vNdZA and before anyone asks, this was the 1st AU T3 Discord setup, it wasn't promoted due to the game being in playtest mode. It has been setup by an AU T1 vet (not me) and this Discord is geared more towards the PuG scene and introducing new players to this mode of 7v7 comp play. Of course there are also public server code threads as well which have been utilised for the playtests already. We are not limited to only AU players, everyone is welcome from the world over. I don't know if it was my trex and chicken meme or my general dislike for the direction T3 is heading but I was banned from the Tribes 3 discord today without any reason given and I'm not the only one. I've never personally attacked anyone, spammed anything or used any kind of curse word or slur so I can only conclude that being overly critical of the game in the feedback section will get you kicked eventually. Tribes 3 - Console release timeframe? 20 years ago I never thought I’d be console only but I can’t talk myself into buying a PC these days, let alone for one game. I sit in front of a computer all day for work and quite frankly I don’t have the means to buy one either. So, they mentioned Tribes 3 will come to console at a later date. Does anyone have a prediction as to when, if ever? The game seems popular enough right now, but will we not truly know the answer until we see how the game does post launch? That game mode is fine for the most part but it's the score multiplier that sucks, it's so unfair and not thought out. I had matches where where my team only has like 70 points where the enemy team has 400, it's such bs. it literally makes it impossible for the losing to to make a comeback.       :: As a (somewhat) new player, I gotta say: If Tribes 3 is the worst this franchise has to offer, the other games must be incredible. As a (somewhat) new player, I gotta say: If Tribes 3 is the worst this franchise has to offer, the other games must be incredible. I say somewhat because I did play Ascend back when I was in middle school (crazy how long ago that game was), on a laptop at a blistering 20fps. But I played the shit out of it until that laptop broke. So when I heard there was a new game coming out just last night, I was hyped and immediately signed up to test, and I am having a fucking blast. This is just as fun as I remember Ascension being when I was a kid. So during breaks, I decided to check out what other people's opinions were, and was surprised to find how critical people were being. Don't get me wrong, now is the best time to be critical, and in the long run this will only lead to a better game, but still surprised me just how much people dislike it so far with how much fun I'm having. But if anything, this gives me hope. If a game this fun can be hated by veteran Tribes players, that tells me that A: this formula is so good that even at it's worst it's still fun and B: the old games I haven't gotten around to playing must be mind blowing.
