Tribes 3 questions

I just bought the game before work, got home and loaded it up. Why does it know I am the "Green Eagle"???

It didn't ask me to input my screen name or anything like that. I just went straight for the tutorial.

I got T2 back in 2002 and played up to 2010 (a lot). Even had a team called Tribe Cygnus. (Special mention to Oldewolfe, spinebuster and I can still recall a lot of names). I did T:A for about 2 months, but I didn't like it.

I only played the tutorial for about 5 minutes just to scout it, got to go to bed. But that was surreal to me, that it knew my online name.
